Chelsea Manhattan Editorial Photoshoot
This New York City snow photoshoot was photographed during the last major NYC blizzard, turning a planned 15-minute session into a full editorial series of over 40 images. Shot in Chelsea, Manhattan, just one block from the studio, this winter bridal portrait session became the perfect creative test before traveling to Utah for a full bridal party and bridal photoshoot.
Snow in New York transforms the city in a way nothing else can. It softens the streets, brightens the light, and creates a quiet, cinematic atmosphere that elevates editorial photography. As a New York bridal photographer, winter snow sessions remain some of my favorite to photograph. Gray winters without snow always feel incomplete, while snowfall brings texture, contrast, and emotion to bridal portraits and fashion-driven imagery.
Bridal editorial test
This session was photographed as a bridal editorial test, allowing us to explore movement, posing, and styling before the destination bridal shoot in Utah. Editorial bridal portraits like this help brides feel confident in front of the camera while creating refined, fashion-forward imagery that feels effortless and natural.
Ashley wore Chanel eyewear from the 2025 collection paired with vintage Chanel earrings, styled with a statement vintage fur coat, bringing high fashion influence into a classic New York winter setting. The contrast between luxury styling and raw winter conditions created a timeless, editorial look rooted in authenticity.
Photographing during a New York snowstorm requires adaptability, calm under pressure, and the ability to guide clients who may have never been photographed in these conditions before. I’m deeply grateful to every client who trusted me enough to step outside during a blizzard to create something meaningful. These moments often produce the most memorable images.
